Day 1 : ARRIVAL IN ANTANANARIVO
Upon arrival at Antananarivo international airport, you'll be warmly greeted and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy dinner and overnight, marking the beginning of your adventure in the capital city.
Day 2 : ROAD TRIP TO ANTSIRABE
Breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a journey to Antsirabe. Along the way, marvel at the panoramic views of the rice terraces and the highland tombs of Madagascar. Stop to visit a craft factory in Ambatolampy, where you can observe the manufacturing process of casseroles and aluminum products, followed by a tour of the city. Upon arrival in Antsirabe, settle into your hotel before exploring the city. Visit the workshops of semi-precious stone cutters and artisans renowned for their exquisite handmade tablecloths, showcasing the craftsmanship of Madagascar. Spend the night at the hotel, immersed in the charm of Antsirabe.
Day 3 : RANOMAFANA NATIONAL PARK
Continuing our journey southward, we arrive at Ranomafana National Park, spanning over 42,000 hectares of lush rainforest. This park is renowned as the habitat for a diverse range of lemur species found in Madagascar, including the golden bamboo lemur, red-bellied bamboo lemur, eastern gray bamboo lemur, greater bamboo lemur, brown-tailed sportive lemur, small-toothed sportive lemur, black-and-white ruffed lemur, and Milne-Edward’s sifaka. Additionally, Ranomafana is home to over 100 species of birds, with 30 of them endemic to Madagascar. Enjoy dinner and spend the night at the hotel, surrounded by the natural wonders of Ranomafana.
Day 4 : AMBALAVAO
Breakfast at the hotel before setting off for Ambalavao, directly accessible via National Road 7 from Fianarantsoa. Ambalavao stands out as one of the cultural hubs of Madagascar, offering captivating landscapes and stunning vistas of vineyards and rice terraces. Explore architectural gems such as its Gothic cathedral and picturesque houses adorned with verandas, nestled amidst rocky mountains. If time permits, take a tour of the Antemoro papermaking process. Return to the hotel for dinner and spend the night, surrounded by the charm of Ambalavao.
Day 5 : AMBALAVAO - RANOHIRA ISALO
Breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a visit to the Antaimoro paper mill, a specialty of the city. Continuing our journey, we make a stop at the Anja village reserve for a one-hour visit. As we travel further, we'll be treated to the breathtaking landscapes of the south. Finally, we arrive in Ranohira (Isalo) where we will dine and spend the night at the hotel.
Day 6 : ISALO NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, we depart for the exploration of Isalo National Park, offering opportunities to encounter gidro and sifaka lemurs during your hike. On the flora side, the Tsingy formations are a treasure trove for botanists, boasting 650 species of rare plants. It's essential to wear sturdy shoes for this walk. We'll follow the Namaza circuit, where lemurs abound, and then proceed towards the blue and black pools, as well as the nymphs' waterfall. To unwind from the day's exertions, a dip in the natural pool is highly recommended. In the late afternoon, witness the sunset from the famous "Window of Isalo." Dinner and overnight accommodation at the hotel.
Day 7 : THE BIG TSINGY
Breakfast followed by a visit to the Big Tsingy in the morning, discover the vastness of the rocky massifs and encounter lemurs and wild plants. After exploring, return to the village for lunch. In the afternoon, continue your adventure with a visit to the Small Tsingy before returning to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Days 8-9 : IFATY
Indulge in breakfast and lunch at the hotel, as you embrace days of relaxation. Take advantage of various optional activities, such as snorkeling or scuba diving, or embark on an excursion in the baobab forest. Enjoy leisurely moments lounging on the beach, where you can partake in water activities in the lagoon of Ifaty, renowned as one of the world's most beautiful with its coral reef. Conclude your day with dinner and spend the night at the hotel.
Day 10 : TULEAR - ANTANANARIVO
Breakfast at the hotel before departing for Tulear, where you will catch a domestic flight to Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar. Upon arrival at Ivato International Airport, our driver guide will greet you and escort you to the hotel where you will be accommodated. Enjoy dinner and spend the night at the hotel.
Day 11 : LAST DAY IN THE CAPITAL
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before our guide driver assists you with your transfer to the airport, ensuring you arrive in accordance with your flight schedule back to your home country. Along the way to the airport, there will be a stop at the craft market, offering you the opportunity to purchase beautiful souvenirs of your trip to Madagascar. Explore the selection of small handicrafts that represent the essence of the country before continuing your journey homeward.
